Hello Philip aka GP,
Thanks so much for helping out in the planning and sourcing for the transport volunteers for the 14 May event, I went on a overseas trip immediately after that and just got back to town, got to know from Mr Tok that you were looking for me with regards to the volunteer attendance on the 14th May.
I must say your volunteers are the most commendable, all of them turned up as agreed per tele-conversation with them on the 13th May and I have not received any feedback that any collection centre having a shortage of transport. As I can only be at the main stock holding area in Downtown East from 11am onwards and at Wellness Community from 3pm till evening, which is a regret for me as I am unable to meet all of them personally.
Those that I met, I have showed them the massive repacking operation at Downtown East, they were spontaneous and excited to do a few more trips for us. In addition, there were two or three more drivers turn up in the Ang Mo Kio Collection Centre adding to a total of 8 vehicles to collect the donation to Downtown East, which is a pleasant surprise for both the organiser and me.
As I have already, a lorry and van to help to transport the repack donations from Downtown East to Wellness, most of your volunteers ended their duties after they have delivered the donation from the Collection Centre to Downtown East.
I believe Mr Tok and two other drivers stay late to help us adding the number to a total of 5 vehicles to help with the transportation till last box of food ration being sent over to Wellness Community. Lastly, many thanks to your 8 warriors stationed at Wellness Centre to help to unload the food rations, although I made them waited for 1hr (2pm to 3pm) my apologies for the mis-calculation in the timing, they stay on to help me all the till 1900 and some till 2000.
Once again, A BIG Thank You to you and all your volunteer that rendered their time and effort to help out in their event, without them it would not have been so smooth and successful. Thank You
I am now awaiting for the organiser to send me the photos then forward them to you once I have received them.
