The addresses clients are required to provide is a verification method for use by the customer service team.
The information also shows if new clients have already got or had an account or if they have already claimed a bonus..(or should be receiving one!!)

It could be argued that one could write anything down, however when it would come to withdraw then confirmation of the address the customer had signed up with would be required, so it would always be sensible to use the correct information to ensure all your transactions are quick and fluid.
