Nine remanded over murder probe linked to body found in car, cop shooting [WATCH]

IPOH: Nine people, including a woman, have been remanded for seven days to assist in investigations into the case of a woman's body found in a car with a suspect who stabbed and shot a policeman.

The remand order, effective today until next Sunday, was issued by magistrate Anis Hanini Abdullah when the suspects were brought to the magistrate's court here this morning.

The application for remand was made to facilitate investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder and Section 307 for attempted murder.

The female suspect is being remanded under Section 302, while the other eight male suspects are being remanded under Section 307 of the same code.
