No material benefits as there are no prizes awarded for TC team competition at the moment.
Perhaps you'll find a sense of belonging or pride if you're in a team with a good camaraderie and/or good tipsters. 

In any case, there's no strings attached after joining a team. You can quit or jump ship any time afterwards.

I can't speak for other TC team leaders but personally I don't welcome players who'll hop frequently from one team to another.

You're most welcome.

I forgot to mention the 'exclusivity' facet.
The only exclusive thing about being in a team is the accessibility to a team chat box which is only viewable by the team members.

At BNW, it's mostly used to spur on our teammates who are in contention for medals at the last stretch of the TC season and offer our congrats to our medalists on their achievements at the end of it.

Again, I can't speak for the other teams with regards to their usage of their chat boxes as they are not privy to me. These are like our individual team's 'dressing room'. Whether the room is vacant or atmospheric, or if it's even used for the right reason, will vary from team to team.
